Justin Bates is a religion teacher and administrator with over 10 years of experience, a historian and PhD candidate, and a published author in both historical and Christian studies. He earned his bachelor’s in business management from Arizona State University, his master’s in history from Liberty University, and is currently completing his Ph.D. in history from Liberty. His research interests and publications center around the history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including the original Nauvoo Temple’s construction, the Brooklyn Saints’ impact on early California’s development, and the lives of individual Latter-day Saints in the American West post-1844.

When not researching, writing, or podcasting, Justin enjoys spending time with his high school sweetheart, Alexis, and their five children.

Justin lives, works, and podcasts in Queen Creek, Arizona. He is available to travel for speaking engagements throughout the United States and abroad.
